Science Museum Oklahoma Brings Back Winter WonderLab for Holiday Fun

Families looking for indoor holiday activities can head to Science Museum Oklahoma for Winter WonderLab, a four-day event mixing science and seasonal fun from Dec. 20 through 23.

The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening and transforms part of the museum into what organizers describe as an indoor holiday playground meets science fair.

Activities planned include an elf workshop, circuit trees, indoor snowball fights, ornament making, slingshots, and festive photo opportunities. Each activity aims to spark curiosity while giving families quality time together during winter break.

“Children love science and STEM, and they get excited for the holidays,” said Sherry Marshall, John E. Kirkpatrick President and CEO of Science Museum Oklahoma. “There is no better way to feed their passion and make holiday memories with the whole family.”

The fully indoor event offers an evening activity in Oklahoma City’s Adventure District during the chilly holiday season, with all activities taking place near the museum’s east entrance.

Tickets cost $12 for members and $15 for non-members, with admission including all event activities and access to Love’s Planetarium shows at no additional cost.

Tickets are available now at sciencemuseumok.org/winterwonderlab.

Science Museum Oklahoma is the state’s only hands-on science museum, spanning about 390,000 square feet of indoor exhibits, science shows, and interactive experiences.
