Celebrate 20 Years of Oklahoma History This Saturday, Free Admission!

The Oklahoma History Center is marking two decades since its 2005 opening with a free public celebration on Saturday, November 15, from 10 AM to 2 PM If you’ve never visited or haven’t been in a while, this is the perfect day to discover why this museum has become a cornerstone of our community.

What to Expect

Visitors can enjoy hands-on artifact carts, guided tours led by staff and volunteers, and live performances throughout the museum galleries. Whether you’re a lifelong history buff or bringing the kids for a fun Saturday outing, there’s something for everyone.

New Exhibit Debut

The highlight of the celebration is the opening of a new exhibit in the Sam Noble Gallery: “Collect. Preserve. Share. 20 Years at the Oklahoma History Center.” The exhibit showcases significant acquisitions from the past two decades, demonstrating how the center has grown and expanded its mission.

About the Oklahoma History Center

The 215,000-square-foot learning center explores Oklahoma’s unique history of Native culture, pioneers, aviation, commerce, and more. As a Smithsonian Affiliate accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the center maintains high standards while making history accessible to all.
