Free Virtual Job Fair Offers Path to Healthcare Careers for Oklahomans
OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahomans looking to launch or advance a healthcare career can attend a free virtual job fair tomorrow morning, hosted by Care Providers Oklahoma.
The Care Careers Virtual Job Fair takes place Wednesday, November 19, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. The online event will connect participants directly with employers from across the state’s long-term care and skilled nursing community.
Attendees will learn about career advancement opportunities in the field and discover how to have their Certified Nursing Assistant certification paid for—removing one of the common barriers to entering healthcare work.
“Careers in long-term care offer tremendous growth potential as well as deep personal fulfillment,” said Steven Buck, President and CEO of Care Providers Oklahoma. “Every day, these professionals provide compassionate care to our most vulnerable neighbors and make a meaningful difference in their communities.”
Buck, who joined the organization in 2020 after serving as executive director of the Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs and in cabinet positions under Governors Kevin Stitt and Mary Fallin, called the virtual fair a strong entry point for Oklahomans seeking rewarding work.
Care Providers Oklahoma represents more than 18,000 residents and 19,000 professionals working in the state’s nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
